After 35 Mom Amiee Cantrell-Webb discovered she was pregnant at age 38. Because of a previous miscarriage, she was very nervous and anxiously counted down to the 13 week “safe” mark.
Two years ago I was 35 years old and was told I couldn’t have kids. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, but thanks to me taking care of my diet and exercise, I was able to get pregnant.
Amy hopes to educate women about postpartum preeclampsia. She had given birth to five children and had never heard of it, until it happened to her. She always believed that delivery of the baby was the “cure” for preeclampsia. Amy feels women should be educated about things to watch for in the postpartum period as well as during the pregnancy itself.
After 35 Mom Angela Mason had her 4th baby at age 45! Her 3 older children are Blake 23 (in the Army – Hawaii), Macey 20 (GVSU – nursing) and Cassidy 18 (in the Army) from a previous marriage.
After 35 Mom Kristi Catlin met her husband when she was 24 and they married at age 26. They decided they wanted a family and became pregnant about a year after. At her first doctor’s appointment, they noticed her neck was swollen. Her thyroid was tested and she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (Graves’ Disease).
